For the entirety of my five-year employment at Ke Kalahea, I ran a comic strip about a kiwi bird named Birb that went to college. Included here are pieces from each year, from the very beginning to the very end.

Mascot
Birb became a sort of mascot for the newspaper. I was asked to design stickers, and I often drew the character as a stand-in for UH Hilo students.
