• About the Artist

Lucky Lemieux is a cartoonist, writer, and 2-D/stop-motion animator currently studying in Rochester, New York. Usually, his ideas start with something he finds funny, and the themes in his work spiral out from there. Lucky’s art is often a method of working through things that make him uncomfortable, and he hopes to do the same for his audience. If he can’t do that, he hopes to at least entertain. Lucky was born in Vermont and raised in Hawai’i from the age of six. He earned his bachelor’s degree in art at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo, where he was commended for his work on the comic strip Freshman Feathers for the student-run Ke Kalahea newspaper. Lucky is currently working toward a masters’ degree in 2-D and stop-motion animation from Rochester Institute of Technology.
